They are responsible people so they crash on their friend's couch for the night. In the morning, the girl wakes up early and heads home and the guy asks their mutual friend for the girl's phone number. You know, just like every fairy tale begins...The first couple of months Amanda was out of town on various summer trips, but Alex found ways to keep in touch. They bonded over Electronic Dance Music and a shared passion for political theory, but soon found that they basically had many totally opposite tastes.Alex could listen to music with no lyrics for days on end, Amanda loves to sing along. Amanda shot portraits on Nikon and Alex was all about landscapes on his Cannon. (Today we're a house divided between iPhone and Samsung). So what comes next?Alex and Amanda plan to move to Queen Creek, Arizona in 2022. They recently designed their first home, which should be completed soon after the wedding.

That first night Amanda and Alex crashed on a couch together, June 7, thereafter became Couchiversary! On the day of the 7th Couchiversary in the year of the great pandemic, Alex invited Amanda to take a walk on the beach, as they had become accustomed to doing, since Amanda had recently acquired a running injury. Except on this day, Alex was adamant about where they should go for a walk. Amanda was suspicious and worried, because they had technically parked in a "driveway." They walked to the beach and discovered a perfectly fine and totally-not-abandoned-there couch! They walked towards the couch and Alex got down on one knee.... and they were so excited to be engaged!(And because we know you are wondering... some friends had placed the couch there, it was planned and totally not coincidental trash).
